“Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.”

Psalms 24:7 (NLT)

I love you even when the days are not so great. Even when you’ve had a bad day at school or you weren’t very nice to me. I love you because you are so uniquely you, and only God could have made you that way.

You will have those days that are rough and rainy, when you think nobody likes you, when the world falls short of everything you hoped for. Maybe today was one of those days, maybe not. But God always has the right words at the right time that settle in our hearts and in our mind, if we let Him in.

Let go of the day and of anything mean someone said to you. Say a little prayer in your head for them so God can heal their heart too. And say a little prayer for mommy so she can continue to fill you with the love and patience you so deserve.

I want you to know that as long as your heart is open to God, He will come inside. You are the gate for Jesus, and you are the one He waits for.

Please know that you are loved beyond all measure and that if I forget to tell you tomorrow, I love you.

Close your eyes and dream about the open gates. Imagine God right there with you, standing there, ready to hold you as you drift and dream.
